Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Energy Management, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA or a Master's in Finance or Energy Systems is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing large loads in the Texas and Southwest Power Pool regions is essential.
  • Extensive commercial experience with load and generation projects is required.
  • Expertise in market rules and regulatory policies governing energy management in relevant regions is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, load forecasting, and energy efficiency technologies is required.
  • Project management experience is needed to meet project timelines and allocate resources effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with software tools for energy management and regulatory reporting is required.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to negotiate contracts are necessary.

  • The salary ranges from USD $130,000 - $150,000 or CAD $187,000 – $216,000, with a target annual bonus of 40-50%.
