You will work in a stable technology environment that processes millions of transactions daily and contribute to the modernization of the platform.
Your responsibilities will include using Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS as a foundation for data-driven business decisions, supporting the transition to modern solutions using Python, Docker/Kubernetes, and dbt.
You will play an active role in the development of the enterprise data warehouse, design robust data integration processes, and optimize existing pipelines.
You will take ownership of individual projects, coordinate requirements with business departments, and implement solutions independently.
Collaboration with experienced Data Engineers and direct communication with business stakeholders to understand technical requirements will be essential.
You will be part of a 24/7 support team on selected days each month, with attractive additional compensation, while maintaining a good work-life balance.
The position offers 100% remote work and flexible hours, allowing you to work from anywhere in Germany.
Requirements:
You must have at least three years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS is required, along with familiarity with their strengths and limitations.
Solid experience in designing data models and implementing efficient data pipelines is necessary.
You should possess analytical thinking skills to analyze complex data structures and develop efficient processes.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to find practical solutions are essential.
You must have the ability to understand technical requirements from business departments and develop data-driven solutions with real added value.
A sense of responsibility and willingness to take on new challenges and ownership of your solutions is important.
Fluency in German (C1) and a good command of English are required.
Experience with Python, Docker/Kubernetes, dbt, Power BI, or PowerShell is a plus.
