Standard Metrics is an AI-driven financial data platform focused on automated reporting and benchmarking tools for investors.
The Data Solutions Engineer will bridge Customer Experience and Engineering, owning customer-facing data workflows and integrations.
This role involves diagnosing customer data needs and building impactful solutions, requiring both technical and communication skills.

Requirements:

3–5+ years in a technical role with customer interaction (solutions engineering, data engineering, etc.).
Strong SQL skills for complex queries and ad-hoc data analysis.
Proficiency in Python for scripting and workflow automation.
Experience with REST APIs and debugging integrations.
Curiosity about AI; experience with prompt engineering is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 60% for on-site customer work.
Familiarity with data infrastructure tools like Snowflake or dbt.
Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in fintech or private markets.
High ownership mentality and comfort with ambiguity.
Bonus: experience with data integration tools and finance/computer science degree preferred.
