Demandbase is seeking a passionate and experienced API Evangelist & Developer Relations Lead to join their team.
The role involves supporting the adoption and integration of the API ecosystem in enterprise environments and laying the groundwork for a future developer community.
Responsibilities include providing technical guidance on API implementation, designing developer education programs, creating technical content, and leading workshops and training sessions.
The position also requires building relationships with partner engineers, representing Demandbase at industry events, and gathering developer feedback to inform the API product roadmap.
The candidate will own technical support for enterprise API integrations and collaborate with customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term integration success.
The base compensation range for this position in the SF Bay Area is $93,000 - $139,000, with location-specific ranges for other areas.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 3+ years of experience in developer relations, API evangelism, technical support, consulting, or similar roles.
A strong technical background with hands-on experience in API integration and software development is necessary.
The ability to communicate effectively with both technical developers and less-technical customers is essential.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Proven experience in building and managing developer communities is needed.
Familiarity with B2B marketing technologies and account-based marketing concepts is preferred.
Experience with developer tools, version control systems, and modern web technologies is required.
Proficiency in high-level programming languages and familiarity with cloud platforms, business intelligence tools, and databases is necessary.
