Remote Devops Engineer

Description:

• BrightEdge is seeking a motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing team.
• The role focuses on ensuring high performance and availability of the BrightEdge S3 platform through operations monitoring and automation of processes.
• Responsibilities include ensuring up-time, data-availability, and performance of the platform 24/7/365.
• The engineer will debug critical problems in the production environment with minimal turnaround time.
• Automating the operations of thousands of machines that are constantly collecting, crunching, and querying data is a key task.
• The role involves building and enhancing in-house monitoring and maintenance software.
• Providing tools to monitor performance, deploy code, and provision machines is essential.
• The engineer will be responsible for auto-scaling the global cloud network to cover over 100 countries.
• Supporting Fortune 500 companies that leverage the platform for their SEO success is part of the job.
• Managing a hybrid environment of both cloud (AWS, GCP) and Data Center is required.
• The engineer will create innovative solutions to tackle new challenges.

Requirements:

• A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in DevOps.
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and diagnostic skills is necessary.
• Experience with MySQL and No-SQL databases is required.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, shell, Terraform, and Ansible is a plus.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud technologies is also a plus.
