The DevOps Engineer Professional for Sovereign Cloud will co-create next-generation cloud solutions, focusing on EU healthcare, security, and the public sector area.
The role involves designing and implementing a set of sovereignty controls and measures, including encryption and identity management.
Responsibilities include managing the entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and platform as Code approaches.
The engineer will define automated configuration management, release management, build, test, and deployment activities.
The position requires providing prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology.
The engineer will consult complex delivery organizations to ensure effective value delivery for the business.
The role includes consulting IT architecture and IT solutions of software projects, including design and development of concepts.
The engineer will design, develop, and continuously optimize Continuous Integration and delivery processes according to project needs.
Responsibilities also include maintaining and supporting enhancements of the pipeline, connecting it to different platforms and infrastructures, and performing root-cause analysis of pipeline runtime errors.
The engineer will develop continuous automation tasks within software lifecycle phases to improve process efficiency.
The role involves transferring and fostering DevOps knowledge and culture to team and project members.
The engineer will evaluate, integrate, and operate new technologies and tools to innovate topics and concepts.
The position requires designing and integrating IT security and safety concepts and techniques, as well as consulting on infrastructure compliance, requirements, and best practices.
Requirements:
A Masterβs degree in Information Technologies is required.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Expertise in Kubernetes is required, with CKA/CKAD/CKS certification preferred.
Proficiency in programming with Golang is essential.
Candidates must have expert-level skills in scripting (Bash, Python), networking, and the Linux operating system.
Experience in cloud environments or cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP, or comparable Private Cloud) is necessary.
Familiarity with other open-source, cloud-native technologies/concepts such as Secret Management, Container Repositories, Ingress/Egress, and Service Mesh is required.
Expertise in Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of Jenkins and GitLab is required.
Candidates should have advanced skills in security.
Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, team cooperation, and presentation skills are essential soft skills.
Knowledge of Agile Methodology, Scrum, and SAFe is required.
Proficiency in English at an advanced level (C1) is mandatory, while knowledge of German at a B2 level is an advantage.
