Description:

The position is within the Tolling Services team of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary, which specializes in electronic road-charging solutions.
The team develops and operates intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, covering the entire business process including vehicle registrations, country booking, providing On-Board Units, position data transmission, charge calculation, and fleet billing.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Jenkins.
Responsibilities include supporting Java-based build systems, managing artifacts and dependencies with Artifactory, and building and maintaining Docker images.
The DevOps Engineer will operate and support Kubernetes-based platforms and AWS EKS environments, including basic IAM-related tasks.
The position requires monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting CI/CD and cluster-level issues, as well as identifying system failures and performing rebuilds and fixes.
The role also involves supporting release management processes, implementing automation via scripting and API usage, maintaining dependency vulnerability scanning, and writing basic automated tests.

Requirements:

A solid understanding of DevOps fundamentals is required.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and operation is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins or similar CI tools, Docker and containerization concepts, Kubernetes (basics), Maven build system, and artifact management tools like Artifactory is essential.
Basic cloud knowledge, preferably AWS, is required.
Automation and scripting experience is necessary, along with basic Java development and testing knowledge (unit testing).
Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
The ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams is required.
A problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new technologies are necessary.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent relevant professional experience is required.
