Description:

• The role is for a Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructures, software deployments, and assigned technologies.

• Responsibilities include commissioning, system testing, and operation of Linux systems (Suse, Ubuntu, RHEL, Oracle Linux) on hardware and virtualization or container environments.
• The engineer will use existing automation tools such as SuseManager, Salt, or Rundeck.
• Development and maintenance of automation scripts with tools like Salt are required.
• Ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of Linux-based systems is essential.
• The role involves troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning of Linux servers.
• Processing of order and change measures is part of the job.
• Integration of new customers into existing Linux operating environments as part of transition projects is expected.
• Creation of Linux service descriptions and updating documentation, such as CMDB or Confluence, is necessary.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in Linux administration across various distributions (Suse, Ubuntu, RHEL, Oracle Linux) is required.
• Scripting skills in languages such as Terraform and Bash are necessary.
• A solid understanding of hardware, preferably HP, is needed.
• Experience with high availability and clustering solutions (Pacemaker) is required.
• Understanding of AKS container performance and utilization parameters is desirable.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes administration and container orchestration is a plus.
• Familiarity with Icinga is desirable.
• Candidates should be confident in handling the entire MS Office product range.
• Experience with ITIL processes is required.
• Language proficiency in English and German at an upper intermediate level (B2) is necessary.
