Description:
Quadric has developed an innovative general purpose neural processing unit (GPNPU) architecture designed for neural network (NN) inference workloads across various edge and endpoint devices.
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to provide pre-sales and some post-sales technical customer support.
This role requires excellent customer communication and troubleshooting skills for conducting remote and on-site training and product presentations.
The FAE will work independently to acquire expert-level skills with Quadric's product line, including HPC Hardware (IP, Chips, Boards), SDK, and Algorithms (NN, DSP, Vision, Path Planning, etc.).
Responsibilities include working with Sales to position and sell Quadric products, defending the unique Quadric architecture to customers, and assisting customers during evaluations to install SDK and algorithms.
The FAE will analyze technological problems from customers and communicate with engineering for solutions, set up regular technical discussions, deliver training sessions, and coordinate with Sales and Engineering teams on product specifications.
Some travel is required, including occasional trips to the U.S. California headquarters for training and regional travel as necessary.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and/or Computer Science is required, along with 5+ years of experience in engineering.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience working directly with customers in support of Sales or Business Development activities.
Basic knowledge of software perception systems and/or Computer Vision is necessary.
Fluency in both Chinese and English is required.
Proficiency in Python is essential.
Experience with Docker containers, Linux or Unix-based operating systems, and at least one neural network/machine learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow, Tensorflow-Lite) is required.
Experience with quantizing, running, and debugging neural networks using ONNX runtime is a plus.
Experience in selling/supporting semiconductor intellectual property (IP) and supporting parallel C/C++ languages (e.g., CUDA, OpenVX, NEON) is advantageous.
A solid understanding of intermediate git concepts and the semiconductor development process (RTL, GDS, ASIC) is required.
Candidates must possess the ability to methodically debug problems, relay information to the engineering team, and test and deploy system updates and upgrades.
