Remote Field Application Engineer, Software Sales

Description:

• The Field Application Engineer (FAE) acts as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and product teams for the Renesas 365 platform.
• You will play a pivotal role in demonstrating how Renesas’ digital software ecosystem enables customers to design, simulate, and collaborate more efficiently.
• This role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement skills.
• You will support Account Executives in the pre-sales process, deliver product demonstrations, develop tailored solutions, and ensure successful implementation and onboarding.
• Responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives to identify customer needs and map them to Renesas 365 solutions.
• You will conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements for EDA/PCB design tools.
• Providing deep technical guidance and ROI justification throughout the sales process is essential.
• You will collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams to relay customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, workflows, and training materials for internal and customer use is required.
• You will support customer onboarding and ensure a smooth handoff to Customer Success and Technical Support teams.
• Staying current on Renesas 365 feature releases, competitive products, and industry best practices to deliver credible expertise in every customer interaction is necessary.
• You will represent Renesas at industry events, workshops, and user groups as a trusted technical expert.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in EDA/PCB design, electronic system design, or CAD/CAE application engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of Altium Designer, Altium 365, or comparable design platforms is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical details into customer value are necessary.
• You must be comfortable working in both pre-sales and post-sales environments, collaborating with sales and product teams.
• A passion for technology, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is a plus.

Benefits:

• The expected annual pay range for this position is $160,000- $225,000, and this position is also eligible for bonus opportunities.
