Remote Fractional Data Scientist (Advisor Network)

Description:

• Arootah seeks experienced Data Scientists to consult for clients in the alternative investment industry, including hedge funds and family offices.
• Advisors will provide expert advice on data infrastructure, tools, and analysis to enhance investment processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s Degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in a Hedge Fund, Investment Management firm, or Family Office.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and Big Data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark).
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas and recommend solutions.
