An international 90-person scale-up in the travel tech industry is looking for a skilled Frontend Developer with strong React expertise to strengthen its core product team.
Founded in 2017 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, the company aims to simplify the process of booking, modifying, and canceling flights and hotels for business trips, making it fast, seamless, and stress-free.
The role involves working in a cross-functional IT squad responsible for the core booking app and internal admin portal, collaborating closely with developers, QA, system analysts, and a Product Owner across Europe.
The position offers fully remote collaboration with the possibility to work from anywhere in Europe (±3 hours CET), with potential relocation to the Netherlands after 9–12 months upon mutual agreement.
Future tasks include taking ownership of new feature development and delivery, collaborating on architecture decisions, mentoring less experienced teammates, developing new business features and internal tools, maintaining and improving the existing codebase, contributing to the company’s design system and custom UI Kit, participating in design handover sessions and code reviews, and working closely with a distributed, English-speaking development team.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of web development experience.
A minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience with React, including recent experience, is required.
Advanced knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, such as algorithms and data structures, is necessary.
A deep understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, React Query, Zustand, and modern web technologies is essential.
Experience with coding assistants, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude, is preferred.
Expertise in modern front-end design patterns and best practices is required.
Strong self-management and communication skills are necessary for this role.
A passion for delivering great UX and improving frontend architecture is essential.
English proficiency at a B2+ level is required.
