Aktos is a seed-stage, Vertical SaaS Fintech startup seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a 70/30 backend leaning.
The engineer will play a key role in building the Operating System for the $18B Credit Collections industry.
Credit Collectors are essential in helping consumers settle debts and improve credit scores, benefiting both individuals and businesses.
Aktos aims to create a modern software platform that enhances the credit recovery process for Collectors.
The team is composed of experienced Product and Engineering leaders from notable companies like Zenefits, TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, Google, Apple, Amazon, WeWork, and Flatiron Health.
The technology stack includes ReactJS, Redux, RTK Query for the frontend, and Django, DRF, Postgres for the backend, along with Docker, Github Actions, Terraform, and AWS for DevOps.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the CEO, CTO, and other engineers to develop full stack features, taking ownership of work, refining SDLC & CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining AWS infrastructure.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience.
Professional experience with Python for at least 5 years is required.
Professional experience with Django for at least 5 years is required.
Experience with JavaScript, particularly React/Redux, is preferred.
A strong understanding and practical experience with a relational database management system (RDBMS), preferably Postgres, is necessary.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS, with Terraform experience preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable working across the full stack.
A solid foundation in engineering principles and a passion for writing high-quality code are essential.
Product intuition, user empathy, and the ability to make sound UX decisions are important.
A strong work ethic and an end-to-end ownership mentality are required.
