Remote Full Stack Engineer (.NET)

Description:

• We are looking for exceptionally talented full stack engineers with extensive experience in .NET/C# to join our team.
• In this role, you're responsible for the full software development cycle of planning, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining our Definely products—from rich WPF-based desktop applications to resilient backend services running on our global cloud infrastructure.
• This is an opportunity to lead, mentor junior team members, and drive the technical excellence that defines our suite of products.
• Key responsibilities include architecting, designing, and implementing rich desktop applications using WPF, leveraging modern UI design principles and patterns to ensure clean, maintainable, and scalable code, and building and maintaining robust backend services, APIs, and libraries using .NET/C#.
• You will participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to align on requirements and deliver innovative features.
• You will also provide technical mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers, write clean, well-documented code accompanied by unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and continuously improve application performance, scalability, and security.
• Additionally, you will advocate for and implement best practices and modern software development methodologies, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and contribute to architectural discussions to help drive the evolution of our technology stack.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of professional, product-focused full stack development with a focus on .NET/C#.
• A proven track record in building WPF desktop applications with a keen eye for design and usability is required.
• You should have solid experience designing and implementing backend services and proficiency with both .NET Framework and .NET Core.
• A strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and SOLID principles is essential.
• Deep expertise in WPF, including XAML, data binding, custom controls, and UI animations is necessary.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices is required to ensure that applications are both functional and visually appealing.
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and familiarity with RESTful API design and integration is needed.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience building VSTO Word Add-On is a plus, as is experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices is beneficial.
• Familiarity with additional front-end technologies or modern UI frameworks is a plus.
• Prior experience in a product-focused or startup environment is also advantageous.
