Remote Full Stack Software Engineer (Sydney)

• The role is for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer who will work directly with the founders to drive product adoption and revenue expansion.

• The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days in the Sydney office (Surry Hills) and 3 days remote.
• Responsibilities include building new features within the product team, planning changes methodically, creating technical documentation, implementing pixel-perfect designs, improving the code base through refactoring, implementing unit tests, ensuring rigorous end-to-end testing, and maintaining effective communication via Slack.

Requirements:

• A B.S./M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent) and/or 3-5 years of industry experience is required.
• Candidates must have experience developing software and contributing code in teams that have shipped consumer-focused applications.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for collaborating with product designers to achieve the best customer outcomes.
• Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience developing full stack applications with React/TypeScript and PHP, ideally with Laravel.
• Unit testing experience with React is essential, and experience with Cypress and PHPUnit is highly desirable.
• Candidates must be focused and able to differentiate essentials from non-essentials to achieve results efficiently.
• Self-management of time and projects is required.
• A passion for software development and a desire for continuous improvement in the craft is essential.
