  • We are seeking a fullstack engineer with a primary strength in backend systems to own both backend and frontend implementation.
  • The role involves building scalable systems, solving real-world data challenges, and delivering features end-to-end.
  • As a Fullstack (Backend-Focused) Engineer, you will help shape our engineering culture, development processes, and roadmap.
  • Responsibilities include building backend REST APIs for various BusRight client applications, contributing to service migrations, writing scalable backend logic on PostgreSQL, developing frontend modules using React.js, collaborating with a cross-functional engineering team, participating in brainstorming sessions and product discussions, and iterating based on user feedback.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience building production-grade web applications.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL is required.
  • A strong understanding and application of SOLID principles and clean architecture patterns is necessary.
  • Experience in building and maintaining REST APIs for real-world use cases is essential.
  • Familiarity with React or another modern frontend framework is required.
  • Candidates should have experience deploying applications to cloud environments such as GCP or AWS.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including schema design, queries, and migrations is necessary.
  • Candidates must take responsibility for their work from development to deployment.
  • Effective collaboration across teams and clear communication skills are required.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and tested code is essential.
  • Critical thinking and pragmatic decision-making skills are necessary for problem-solving.
  • Candidates should be adaptable to shifting priorities, feedback, or requirements.

Benefits:

  • The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $80,000 to $145,000 per year, based on experience and expertise.
