Description:

• Rentokil PCI is the leading pest control service provider in India, formed in 2017 through a joint venture between Pest Control India and Rentokil.
• The SQL Database Administrator (DBA) will provide end-to-end database support for all data systems, including design, implementation, maintenance, and security of SQL Server and other database platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Cloud DBs.
• The role involves managing database services hosted within regional data centers, ensuring stability, performance, and availability of databases.
• The DBA will provide 24/7 Database Administration support for mission-critical database environments and drive continuous improvement within the team.
• Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server environments, monitoring database performance, implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, managing database security, and performing regular health checks.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
• Strong practical experience with database backup/restore, recovery models, and high availability/disaster recovery technologies is required.
• Proven expertise in database performance monitoring and tuning is essential.
• Familiarity with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL database systems is necessary.
• Experience managing databases on Cloud DB Platforms (e.g., GCP) is required.
• A solid understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/Unix) as they relate to database environments is needed.
• Strong experience in Incident/Request/Change/Problem management is essential.
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of RDBMS concepts, ACID properties, transactions, and isolation levels.
