Azumo is seeking a highly motivated Backend Engineer to develop and enhance high performing and scalable backend infrastructures in AI, NLP, and conversational software environments.
The position is remote but only open to candidates based in Latin America, as most of the engineering team is located there.
The role involves collaborating with a growing team and bright engineering minds in AI computing.
Candidates will design and develop scalable, high performant backend infrastructure using GO (Golang), open-source frameworks, and modern cloud-based technologies.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing server features and robust APIs, integrating existing applications with third-party systems, and evaluating multiple approaches and technologies to solve problems.

Requirements:

A BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related degree, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with GO (Golang).
Deep expertise with Linux and hosted cloud environments such as Heroku, AWS, App Engine, or others is necessary.
Practical experience with open-source technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, is required.
Experience integrating solutions with third-party APIs (RESTful, OAuth, JSON) is essential.
Candidates should be self-driven and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
