Remote Junior QA Engineer - Trabajo Remoto

Description:

• The Junior QA Engineer will support the evaluation of software quality through manual and automated testing.
• Responsibilities include detecting and documenting errors, as well as collaborating with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
• This position is ideal for professionals in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields who have or seek to gain experience in software quality assurance within an agile and dynamic environment.
• The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm Peru time, with a total of 8 hours daily and a 1-hour lunch break.
• The position is 100% remote, with a contract duration of 1 year and the possibility of renewal.
• The contractor must work with their own laptop/PC.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of software testing, including functional, regression, and black box testing.
• Familiarity with at least one testing tool, such as Postman (for API testing) or Selenium WebDriver (for automated web testing).
• Basic handling of version control with Git.
• Intermediate English skills (both written and conversational).
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and a focus on product quality.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Desirable: Previous experience (internships, projects, or personal projects) in QA or software development.
• Introductory knowledge of tools such as JMeter (for performance testing), Appium (for mobile testing), and SonarQube/SonarCloud (for static code analysis).
• Basic knowledge of a programming language such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Experience using task management tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
• Completion of the ISTQB Foundation Level course or certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• Introductory knowledge of test automation and frameworks like Page Object Model.
• Familiarity with unit testing and frameworks such as JUnit, MSTest, TestNG, etc.
• Key skills include responsibility and organization, analytical thinking and attention to detail, teamwork and collaboration, learning and adaptation ability, and time management and task prioritization.
