Remote Lead Application Engineer (Java)

Description:

• Lead and mentor a team of application engineers, providing technical guidance and support for complex engineering challenges.
• Design, develop, and maintain production-ready applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Apply knowledge of microservices and cloud-native engineering principles to build scalable applications.
• Lead application migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Guide application deployment and troubleshooting in Kubernetes environments.
• Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure application quality.
• Collaborate with various teams to establish engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and application testing.
• Experience with application modernization and cloud deployments.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring skills.
• Preferred: Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
