Remote Lead Data Engineer (GCP) REMOTE - #35373

Description:

• Own the reliability, scalability, and performance of core data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Lead the design and delivery of complex data engineering initiatives from architecture to implementation.
• Establish engineering standards across Python, SQL, orchestration, testing, documentation, data governance, and monitoring.
• Set technical direction and quality standards for data engineering, conducting design and code reviews.
• Partner with Data Science, BI, and business teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, particularly in production data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and analytics workflows.
• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery and relevant data services.
• Proven experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and managing data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for developing scalable data solutions.
• Good understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality monitoring.
• Experience in leading complex data engineering projects and ensuring system performance.
• Ability to establish engineering standards and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with effective communication abilities.
