As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for extracting insights from large datasets, developing predictive models, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, solve complex problems, and optimize processes.
The role involves analyzing, building, testing, and implementing statistical and machine learning models that extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
You will apply mathematical and statistical techniques for spatial and temporal data, develop and implement advanced predictive models, and build data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for internal and external customers.
Writing and optimizing efficient, maintainable code while collaborating with cross-functional teams is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
A B.S, M.S. or PhD. Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in data science is necessary.
At least 2 years of experience with programming languages such as Python and frameworks like PySpark is required.
Experience working with large and complex datasets is essential.
Familiarity with databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and SQL Server is required.
A track record of writing optimized, scalable code is necessary.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets are required.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on validation and accuracy of results are essential.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
The ability to mentor team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement is necessary.
Experience in developing and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring data quality is required.
A background in robotics or a related field and understanding of temporal and spatial data concepts is desirable.
