Remote Lead Database Migration Engineer

Description:

• Lead end-to-end database migration initiatives for enterprise customers from Oracle and SQL Server to PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Manage AWS DMS and SCT environments, ensuring migration quality, performance, and reliability.
• Author migration runbooks and perform assessments, dependency analysis, and strategy recommendations.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure successful migration outcomes and drive testing activities.
• Provide technical leadership and convert procedural database code from PL/SQL and T-SQL to PL/pgSQL.

Requirements:

• 8–12 years of experience in database architecture and migration delivery.
• Expertise in AWS DMS and SCT for enterprise-scale migrations.
• Proficiency in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with production database operations and migration best practices.
• Strong skills in authoring migration documentation and executing validation plans.
• Ability to convert complex database logic and handle SCT action items.
