Description:

  • The role is for a Lead Developer/Technical Architect with a focus on .NET and Azure.
  • This position is remote and full-time.
  • The candidate will be responsible for coding, reviewing code, troubleshooting production issues, and designing Azure-native solutions.
  • The Lead Developer will work closely with both onshore and offshore teams to support enterprise-grade applications for a private equity client.
  • Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining .NET Core / .NET 8+ backend services, owning Azure-first architecture decisions, and building and optimizing applications using Azure PaaS services.
  • The role involves performing hands-on coding (70–80%), conducting code reviews, and mentoring team members.
  • The candidate will design secure, scalable, and resilient Azure architectures and work on microservices, APIs, background workers, and integrations.
  • Implementing Azure-native monitoring, alerts, and logging is also part of the responsibilities.
  • The Lead Developer will partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions and coordinate with offshore teams to ensure delivery quality.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / C# is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in REST API design, middleware, and dependency injection is required.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and service-to-service communication is essential.
  • The candidate must have skills in unit testing, performance tuning, and production debugging.
  • Azure expertise is critical, including experience with Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus/Queues, Azure API Management, Azure Key Vault, Azure App Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
  • Understanding of Azure networking and security, including VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, and Traffic Manager, is crucial.
  • Familiarity with secure access patterns, ensuring no public endpoints by default, is required.
  • Experience with Azure AD, OAuth2, JWT, app registrations, scopes, roles, and claims is necessary for authentication and authorization.
  • Front-end experience with React and TypeScript is a good to have, along with the ability to review React code and enforce standards.
