The Machine Learning and AI team is responsible for the invention, analysis, and deployment of new machine learning techniques using healthcare data to improve administrative and clinical medicine.
As a Machine Learning Engineer II, you will help translate proof-of-concept ideas into product-grade solutions.
You will collaborate closely with data scientists, product owners, and backend engineers to gather requirements and understand performance criteria.
The role involves participating in team activities, building and maintaining ML infrastructure, processing and transforming incoming data, developing pipelines, and establishing processes for transitioning from proof-of-concept to production.
You will promote best practice software development principles and collaborate with various teams for the development and deployment of new machine learning techniques.
Requirements:
A Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field with significant coursework or project work in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science is required. Candidates with a bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of professional software development experience will also be considered.
A minimum of two years of experience in professional software development is required.
Candidates must be fluent with software development best practices, including version control, documentation, testing, and CI/CD (Jenkins, Github Actions, Terraform).
Extensive experience with machine learning approaches and an understanding of the analysis and testing processes of machine learning algorithms is necessary. Experience with natural language processing (NLP) is a plus.
Experience with cloud computing platforms is required, with AWS (S3, EC2, etc.) being a plus.
Candidates must have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, with SparkSQL experience being a plus.
Proficiency in Python is required, and experience with Java and/or Scala is a plus.
Proficiency in working within a Linux ecosystem and extensive experience with Docker is necessary.
Experience with Spark, particularly Databricks, is a plus.
