Description:

  • Join Perplexity as an Expert Systems Engineer in the Search Core team focusing on indexing and data processing.
  • Drive architecture, design, and implementation of foundational components for next-generation search products.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems programming (Rust, C++, C, or similar).
  • Ownership of full project lifecycle, from development to production scaling.
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with data processing systems (YT/Kafka/Hadoop).
  • Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of multithreading and system-level optimization.
  • Experience with high-load, distributed services and Linux internals.
  • Familiarity with low-level optimization techniques.
