  • The Midlevel Backend Software Engineer will join the Check-in & Booking team in Brazil.
  • The team is responsible for developing and maintaining Wellhub's App, frontend, and backend services, and Design System.
  • The role involves architecting, building, and deploying high-quality solutions in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Responsibilities include leading technical discussions, mentoring developers, ensuring code excellence, and promoting data-driven decisions.
  • The engineer will take ownership of critical features, interact with product teams, and participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in designing and developing modern web applications is required.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala is necessary, with Scala being a plus.
  • Candidates should have experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is essential.
  • Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems is required.
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based architectures in AWS is mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Portuguese are necessary.
  • Prior experience in backend programming languages and AWS is a mandatory requirement.
