The Midlevel Backend Software Engineer will join the Check-in & Booking team in Brazil.
The team is responsible for developing and maintaining Wellhub's App, frontend, and backend services, and Design System.
The role involves architecting, building, and deploying high-quality solutions in a fast-paced agile environment.
Responsibilities include leading technical discussions, mentoring developers, ensuring code excellence, and promoting data-driven decisions.
The engineer will take ownership of critical features, interact with product teams, and participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in designing and developing modern web applications is required.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala is necessary, with Scala being a plus.
Candidates should have experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is essential.
Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems is required.
Knowledge of Cloud-based architectures in AWS is mandatory.
Strong communication skills in both English and Portuguese are necessary.
Prior experience in backend programming languages and AWS is a mandatory requirement.
