Remote PHP Engineer (Senior and Intermediate)

• Responsibilities include developing new web applications, maintaining existing applications, delivering new functionality, participating in ongoing development, designing user-driven templates, and developing database-driven web interfaces.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related discipline is required.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of PHP development experience, with recent versions of PHP (7.x preferred).
• Experience with relational databases, specifically MySQL 5.6 or later, is necessary.
• Hands-on front-end development skills utilizing HTML, CSS (or SCSS/SASS/LESS), client-side JavaScript, and jQuery are required.
• Knowledge and experience with Git version control are essential.
• Experience with RESTful API usage and implementation is required; experience creating/documenting an API is a plus.
• Familiarity with Redis or other NoSQL key-value stores is a plus.
• Server and site performance optimization experience is preferred.
• A full-stack developer is preferred, but mentoring is available for needed areas.
