Remote Principal Cloud Architect, Google Cloud

Description:

• Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex technical roadmaps into business value and risk assessments.
• Define multi-year strategy for cloud adoption, migration, and modernization, focusing on Google Cloud and interoperability with AWS.
• Establish global cloud governance frameworks and architectural standards.
• Drive advanced DevOps practices and oversee cloud cost optimization initiatives.
• Architect and implement large-scale solutions on Google Cloud, leveraging services like GKE, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.
• Design integration patterns for hybrid and multi-cloud systems with secure connectivity.
• Define DevSecOps and cloud security posture to meet regulatory compliance.
• Lead Proof-of-Concept initiatives for emerging technologies like Generative AI.
• Architect a visibility strategy to monitor system health across cloud environments.
• Mentor Senior/Lead Cloud Engineers and promote continuous improvement in cloud architecture delivery.
• Collaborate with Data & AI Team to align architectural decisions with business goals.
• Elevate technical brand through engineering blogs and industry representation.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years in Cloud Architecture leadership roles managing enterprise-scale transformations.
• Mastery of Google Cloud services, networking, and security.
• Deep architectural experience in AWS or Azure.
• Preferred certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience in at least one programming language (Java/Python).
