The candidate will work closely with customers, PMO, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
The first major engagement will be contributing to the HM Land Registry (HMLR) programme, a significant digital data transformation initiative.
Requirements:
Candidates must have seasoned hands-on experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex data engineering initiatives at scale.
Exceptional coding skills are required, along with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field with a focus on Data.
Extensive experience in Data Engineering and Data Analytics is essential.
Candidates should possess expert knowledge in data technologies and data transformation solutions and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary, along with a good understanding of Quality and Information Security principles.
Effective communication skills are required to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
The ability to provide coaching and training to less experienced team members is essential.
Essential skills include proficiency in programming languages such as Spark, Java, Python, PySpark, and Scala (minimum of two).
Candidates must have extensive hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Data Analytics, as well as significant AWS hands-on experience.
Technical Delivery Manager skills and geospatial data experience (including QGIS) are required.
Advanced database and SQL skills are necessary, and AWS or FME certifications are a plus.
Experience with ETL tools such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks is considered a nice-to-have.
