  • The Principal Digital Identity Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable digital identity systems across the enterprise.
  • This role is essential for establishing the identity foundation for the workforce, third parties, and connected systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and cyber best practices.
  • The engineer will shape the identity architecture, policy enforcement, and access governance programs as the company scales.
  • Responsibilities include managing the overall enterprise identity and access management (IAM) architecture, developing identity lifecycle processes, implementing access governance and controls, deploying IAM tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field is required, with a preference for candidates with strong foundations in identity architecture and authentication protocols.
  • Candidates must have 8–10+ years of experience in identity and access management, infrastructure engineering, or security engineering, focusing primarily on IAM.
  • Deep hands-on experience with enterprise IAM platforms such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, or similar tools is required.
  • Strong knowledge of SSO, MFA, RBAC, directory services, and authentication/authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and scale identity lifecycle management processes integrated with HRIS, ITSM, and cloud infrastructure is essential.
  • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, ITAR, NRC, DOE) is required, along with a strong understanding of access control and audit requirements.
  • Prior experience in the energy, infrastructure, aerospace, or defense industries is preferred.
