Remote Principal Engineer – Identity & Golang

Description:

• Lead the evolution of Xsolla's authentication and authorization stack for developers and players.
• Architect and design a next-generation identity platform supporting SSO and account federation.
• Develop high-performance Golang microservices for user identity and access management.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to implement Zero Trust principles.
• Mentor engineering teams on secure service design and identity best practices.
• Partner with product teams to ensure scalable and user-friendly identity features.
• Define API and data security standards for compliance initiatives.
• Evaluate third-party identity frameworks for integration into Xsolla's strategy.

Requirements:

• 10+ years in backend or systems engineering, with 5+ years in authentication and authorization services.
• Expert-level skills in Golang and experience with distributed microservices.
• Proven track record in identity federation and access control systems.
• In-depth knowledge of authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, SCIM).
• Strong understanding of security principles and key management systems.
• Experience with high-availability systems in Kubernetes on AWS or GCP.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
