Description:

  • IFS is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer for Base Technologies, focusing on platform engineering as a product within the Nexus hosting and services platform.
  • The role involves owning the Base Technologies subdomain, including strategy, architecture, delivery, and team health, while collaborating with various engineering and product teams.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in platform engineering, particularly with messaging/event-streaming platforms like Kafka or Red Panda.
  • Strong software engineering skills in languages such as Java, Go, or Python, and Kubernetes-native operational experience.
  • Experience leading and mentoring engineers, with a focus on product thinking and automation-first approaches.
