Description:

  • The Principal Architect plays a key role in driving growth across the Cloud & Infrastructure Practice.
  • This position requires a highly technical leader to shape solutions and services strategy alongside the Practice Director.
  • The Principal Architect will act as the technical authority across Professional and Managed Services, guiding technology choices and leading the approach across key vendors.
  • Responsibilities include introducing new technologies, evolving capabilities, and maintaining visibility with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The role is ideal for a senior or lead consultant ready to transition from day-to-day delivery to a strategic and forward-looking position.
  • Key tasks include building and maintaining technical relationships with stakeholders, serving as technical authority for post-sale customer engagements, and providing senior-level technical escalation for PMO and Managed Service operations teams.
  • The Principal Architect will collaborate with leadership to implement and improve service models, support the Practice Director on technical strategy, and create new packaged service offerings.
  • Additional responsibilities include developing technical training and certification pathways, sharing knowledge and mentoring technical teams, maintaining documentation and best practices, overseeing demo and training lab environments, and collaborating with the ‘boxxe Labs’ product team.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in a senior or lead consultant role, implementing large and complex infrastructure solutions in customer environments.
  • Knowledge of key cloud technologies, including cloud services, compute, data, storage, and virtualization, is essential.
  • Candidates should be certified to expert level in at least one of Microsoft Azure, VMware, Dell, and/or HPE.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and IT automation tools is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent quality of documentation are necessary.
  • Exemplary communication skills are a must, along with the flexibility to travel throughout the UK when needed.
  • A matured commercial awareness and the ability to influence customers, vendors, and colleagues are important.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, Kubernetes, or other cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.) is considered a benefit.
