Description:

Veeva Systems is seeking a mid to senior Python engineer to join their team in Lisbon, Portugal, for a remote position.
The role involves architecting and developing new and innovative web applications.
The engineer will work with cutting-edge technology and participate in new product development.
Responsibilities include building scalable web applications using open-source tools, creating and using REST and GraphQL APIs, and working independently while communicating progress to the team.
The engineer will also participate in technical planning, user story creation, and implementation, as well as identify and solve complex problems.
The position requires planning technical architectures to minimize performance issues and complexity.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in building scalable and reliable web applications is required.
Proficiency in Python and Django or another comparable Python web framework is necessary.
A basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is required.
The candidate must be able to create database schemas that support business processes.
Strong unit testing and debugging skills are essential.
At least 3 years of work experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is required.
The candidate should be independent, self-managed, and motivated.
A good command of the English language is necessary.
