The role is for a QA Engineer at Zenara Health, a technology-driven mental health care company, working remotely across India while aligning with US Pacific hours.
This is a full-time position focused on ensuring quality across software through manual, automated, AI-assisted, and process-driven testing.
The QA Engineer will be responsible for turning complex requirements into test plans, enforcing standards, leveraging AI for efficiency, and preventing defects before they reach clinicians and patients.
Daily tasks include executing tests, logging defects, updating regression suites, and verifying CI/CD pipelines.
The role involves developing and executing test plans for web and mobile applications, building and maintaining automated test suites, and using AI tools to enhance QA processes.
The QA Engineer will log, track, and verify defects, maintain test design documentation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and security best practices.
The position requires advocating for quality improvements and championing AI adoption in the QA workflow.
The schedule includes daytime hours with 4–8 hours of overlap to US Pacific time, with flexibility for critical releases or audits.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 2–4+ years of experience in software QA, both manual and automated.
A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and defect tracking is required.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is essential.
Demonstrated use of AI tools to accelerate testing processes is necessary, including AI-generated test cases and copilot-assisted test scripting.
Familiarity with REST APIs and API testing tools like Postman is required.
Excellent attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills are mandatory.
Preferred qualifications include healthcare IT experience or understanding of HIPAA/compliance requirements, familiarity with cloud services (Azure), knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, performance and load testing experience, ISTQB or other QA certifications, and experience in evaluating and rolling out new QA tools or processes.
