  • The Context team is part of the Product Information Management (PIM) group, responsible for managing the product catalog and developing advanced features.
  • The mission includes designing, implementing, and testing mission-critical APIs in a PaaS eCommerce Scala backend, developing scalable architecture, and collaborating with Product Management.
  • Responsibilities also include contributing to the team roadmap, ensuring requirements are met, collaborating with other engineers, and participating in on-call rotation for production systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer developing server-side systems on the JVM is required.
  • Experience with Scala is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of functional programming is essential.
  • Candidates must have a solid understanding of parallel and asynchronous programming, as well as non-blocking I/O.
  • Experience in developing REST APIs and knowledge of scalable architectures is required.
  • Fluency in English is necessary for working in international teams.
  • An aspiration to constantly improve and learn new technologies and concepts is expected.
  • Nice to have includes experience working with GraphQL and MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
