Remote Senior AI Engineer

Description:

• Apollo.io is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join their AI Engineering team.
• The role involves building and productionizing advanced AI systems powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and intelligent agents.
• Responsibilities include developing critical capabilities such as AI Assistant, Autonomous AI Agents, Deep Research Agents, Conversational Assistant, Semantic Search, Search Personalization, and AI Power Automation features.
• The mission is to leverage Apollo's extensive data and cutting-edge AI to understand user behaviors, personalize experiences, and optimize the customer journey through intelligent automation.
• Key tasks include designing and deploying production LLM systems, creating sophisticated AI agents, developing prompting strategies, integrating AI capabilities with existing infrastructure, and ensuring quality and performance of AI systems.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on production systems.
• A minimum of 1.5 years of hands-on experience with LLMs, specifically building real applications with models like GPT, Claude, or Llama.
• Experience in building customer-facing, scalable LLM-powered products is essential.
• Candidates should have experience in developing multi-step AI agents and complex workflow automation.
• A deep understanding of prompting strategies and optimization techniques is required.
• Proficiency in Python and strong experience in building scalable backend systems and APIs is necessary.
• Familiarity with LangChain or similar frameworks, as well as experience in deploying AI models in cloud environments, is required.
• Candidates should have experience with rigorous evaluation frameworks for LLM systems, including A/B testing and performance monitoring.
