Remote Senior AI Engineer (Natural Language Systems)

• Responsibilities include driving the mission to improve healthcare through technology, leading AI projects from ideation to production, developing real-time AI systems, building robust model pipelines, partnering with Product and Engineering, and helping to grow the AI team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 4+ years of experience building AI/ML systems in industry or academia, with meaningful production ownership.
• Strong experience in building and evaluating NLP and/or LLM systems is required.
• Experience with speech-related pipelines in production or near-real-time settings is necessary.
• A track record of benchmarking and improving accuracy, cost, and latency is essential.
• Candidates should possess an enthusiastic and pragmatic problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills are required to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python (version >3.9) and basic knowledge of Docker is necessary.
• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, RDS, EC2) is preferred.
• A willingness to learn about the healthcare sector, particularly in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, is required.
• Applicants should be interested in a heavy code contribution role, as this is not an engineering management position.
