Description:

  • Harbor is seeking a Senior Consultant- ELM (Enterprise Legal Management) to join the Legal Technology & Operations – Corporate Legal Technology team.
  • The team focuses on innovation and delivery for corporate legal department clients, with expertise in evaluating legal processes and technology.
  • Responsibilities include developing technology roadmaps, system selection and implementation, and change management.
  • The role involves leading requirements gathering and analysis, executing legal technology best practices, and facilitating the selection and optimization of legal technology systems.
  • This is a full-time, remote position that can be worked from anywhere in the US, with a preference for candidates who can work hybrid from the Chicago headquarters.
  • Key duties include supporting project aspects, conducting business process reviews, drafting project deliverables, configuring technologies, administering system testing, managing project scope and client expectations, and contributing to business development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of relevant experience in the legal or consulting industry, such as in-house legal departments, law firms, or legal software providers.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in legal technology is required, specifically in assessments, requirements gathering, system design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment, with experience in ELM/eBilling, Matter Management, Legal Hold, and Legal Workflow tools.
  • Experience with specific legal technologies like TeamConnect, CounselLink, WK T360, Onit/SimpleLegal, Legal Tracker, Brightflag, and doeLegal is preferred, including data migration and integration workstreams.
  • A four-year degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Data & Analytics, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Candidates should understand the implementation process, including requirement analysis, design, configuration/development, migration, testing, and change management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in process mapping.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Project management experience, including managing tasks, resources, and financials, is required.
  • A positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and eagerness to learn new skills are important.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, are required, along with familiarity with Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
