Remote Senior Backend Developer (m/f/x) I eCommerce Checkout & Order Services

Description:

• Contribute to the development of an international e-commerce platform through backend services.
• Design and develop APIs for customer touchpoints (Web, App) for shopping and self-service experiences.
• Work on key business domains such as payment, loyalty, and pricing.
• Ensure long-term usability and scalability of IT systems through software architecture and performance optimizations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary agile teams to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

• Profound education in IT/software development with proven experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Java/Kotlin, Spring (Boot), and software architecture.
• Proficiency with HTTP and event-based APIs.
• Familiarity with Microservices, Docker (Kubernetes), CI/CD (Gitlab), Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with AI-supported development tools and processes.
• Independent, structured, and reliable working method.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Team player who enjoys sharing and discussing ideas.
• B2 English proficiency; German is a plus.
