  • The technology department, known as the Bureau of Technology (BoT), consists of over 30 product teams focused on developing and managing services for customers and suppliers.

  • As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work closely with your squad and the Staff engineer, participating in bi-monthly rituals to share insights and align technical direction.
  • The role involves building efficient and loosely coupled services while ensuring a seamless transition with zero downtime and no revenue loss.
  • You will be responsible for reducing complexity, increasing adaptability of the codebase, and guaranteeing high performance and reliability in production environments.
  • The technical environment includes Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, GCP, Kubernetes, and more.
  • You will work in an agile "build it and run it" environment, producing clean and well-organized code while supporting colleagues and fostering a learning environment.
  • English proficiency is required as the team is international.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience in backend engineering, particularly with Python and related frameworks.
  • A strong understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture is essential.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP, and container orchestration using Kubernetes is required.
  • Candidates should be able to produce clean, consistent, and well-organized code.
  • Strong communication skills in English are necessary for collaboration within an international team.
  • A passion for creating systems and a willingness to support colleagues in a learning environment is expected.
  • Candidates should be able to facilitate discussions around complex issues and suggest improvements for existing designs and architecture.
