Remote Senior Backend Engineer, Custody Wallets

Description:

• Ava Labs is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Crypto Custody team, responsible for designing, developing, and scaling secure, high-performance blockchain and crypto wallet products.
• The role involves innovating and architecting crypto wallet systems using Golang, ensuring robust support for protocols such as multi-party computation (MPC) and multi-signature configurations.
• The engineer will collaborate with partners to optimize configurations for Ava Labs products and provide technical guidance across various teams including Business Development, Product, Security, Finance, and Engineering.
• The position requires driving product advancements by assessing opportunities and recommending solutions tailored to client needs while establishing architectures that ensure mass adoption of Ava Labs products.
• The candidate must exhibit extreme ownership, demonstrating an independent mindset and taking full responsibility for delivering high-quality, secure backend solutions.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems, particularly in Golang, with experience in JavaScript being a plus.
• A proven track record in building crypto wallets or blockchain-related products is essential.
• Applicants should possess a deep understanding of both UTXO and Account models, state management, and consensus mechanisms.
• Extensive experience in secure coding practices and a strong understanding of security principles as they apply to blockchain and crypto wallet systems is required.
• Familiarity with competitive technologies and cloud service setups is necessary.
