Remote Senior Backend Engineer, Exchange Systems

Description:

• Join Polymarket as a Senior Backend Engineer in the DeFi Trading team, focusing on core improvements to exchange systems.
• Work on low-latency APIs, high-throughput data streams, and enhance the CLOB engine for better performance and safety.

Requirements:

• Production experience in building low-latency backend systems at scale.
• Strong concurrency skills with experience in debugging lock contention and async correctness issues.
• Proficiency in Go and Rust.
• Deep experience with observability tools like pprof, metrics, logs, and distributed traces.
• Familiarity with exchange systems interacting with EVM or blockchain settlement layers.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and profiling.
• (Plus) Experience with matching engines or exchange infrastructure.
• (Plus) Knowledge of EVM transaction lifecycle and its impact on off-chain systems.
• (Plus) Experience in Go runtime and GC tuning.
• (Plus) Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, gRPC, and Protobuf.
• (Plus) Experience with Kubernetes and AWS operations.
