Description:

• As an experienced member of our new product development team, you will design, plan, and develop complex backend services and cloud infrastructure for our mobile platform with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• You will actively take ownership of your services and infrastructure, drive technical decisions in coordination with technical stakeholders such as platform teams, and define quality and performance standards depending on the product development stage (e.g., PoC, MVP, scalable product).
• You will collaborate with other developers to shape the entire development process from architecture to deployment on Kubernetes/AWS and coordinate with neighboring teams.
• You will develop and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, implement CI/CD pipelines, and automate infrastructure processes with Infrastructure-as-Code.
• You will work closely with mobile developers, product owners, and UX/UI designers to create the best possible technical foundation for outstanding app experiences.

Requirements:

• You have at least 3 years of experience in backend development with Spring Boot and solid knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java.
• You are proficient in Kubernetes and container orchestration, have practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.), and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• You possess a deep understanding of microservice architectures, API design, and cloud-native patterns.
• You are open to developing data-driven applications and ideally have experience in data modeling and designing scalable database structures.
• Your strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities make you a valuable team player, and you enjoy mentoring or coaching your colleagues.
• You like to take initiative, proactively take responsibility for your projects, and have an open mindset towards the specifics of mobile app development.
• You have interdisciplinary interests and enjoy collaborating with various departments, such as working with data scientists on integrating data-driven features.
• You are experienced in agile development methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and ideally have corporate and start-up experience, allowing you to handle various stakeholders with ease.
• You have good knowledge of both German and English.
