AbbVie is seeking a talented Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their Cyber Threat Intelligence team.
The role will focus on designing, building, and automating new components of the secrets discovery program.
Candidates will leverage their strengths in software development, experience in cyber intelligence/response, and capabilities in data analytics to discover, analyze, validate, and escalate exposed secrets both internally and externally.
The position allows for creativity in developing the service, including building new custom applications to manage the secrets discovery lifecycle.
Collaboration on multiple cyber intelligence initiatives and partnership with stakeholders across security and major technology teams is expected to support sound decision-making by providing accurate and timely intelligence.
This position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements:
Candidates must have hands-on experience identifying internal and external secrets utilizing discovery tooling.
Proficiency in development with Python, Go, Elixir, or other similar programming languages is required.
Experience in invoking and building custom APIs is necessary.
Candidates should have experience curating intelligence sources and leveraging open source intelligence.
Analysis of large data sets and using data to support decision-making is essential.
A solid understanding of the anatomy of cyber security incidents and current methodologies supporting secrets discovery is required.
Experience building and implementing applications in a production-like environment is preferred.
Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience, a Master's Degree with 6 years of experience, or a PhD with 2 years of experience.
A sound understanding of cybersecurity principles related to authentication and network/application security is beneficial.
Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary, with exposure to communicating at different levels of an organization.
Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $106,500 - $202,500, depending on various factors including geographic location.
