Description:
- Seeking a Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA/Database Engineer for a technology operations environment focused on database stability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Role involves continuous improvement and project-based initiatives, acting as a key technical reference for database administration and operational best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise-scale environments.
- Proven background in database monitoring, backup/recovery, patching, security, and performance tuning.
- Experience with high-availability, resilience, and scalability across database platforms.
- Solid understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data integration principles.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and complex, business-critical infrastructures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Nice to have: experience in regulated environments, DevOps practices, Microsoft certifications, and legacy estate modernization initiatives.
