  • As a Data Engineer, you will play a foundational role in building and scaling the infrastructure that powers HyperSignals, Biconomy’s high-throughput analytics engine.
  • You will be responsible for ingesting terabytes of blockchain and CEX data and delivering analysis-ready datasets for quant and product teams.
  • Your work will help create the data backbone of a cutting-edge trading intelligence system.
  • Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining streaming and batch ETL pipelines, developing NLP and sentiment pipelines, normalizing market data schemas, implementing low-latency ingestion systems, building and optimizing lakehouse/warehouse layers, enforcing data quality and observability, collaborating with quants and backend engineers, and continuously optimizing performance, cost, and scalability across AWS/GCP infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • You must have 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in high-throughput environments such as trading, crypto, or fintech.
  • Expert-level skills in Python (pandas, pyarrow, asyncio) and SQL are required, along with strong fundamentals in algorithms and distributed systems.
  • Proven experience with streaming frameworks (Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka Streams) and message buses (Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar) is essential.
  • An in-depth understanding of blockchain data structures (blocks, receipts, logs), indexers (The Graph, Substreams), and node/RPC infrastructure is necessary.
  • Familiarity with CEX market APIs (REST & WebSocket) and the mechanics of perpetual futures (funding, mark price, open interest, liquidations) is required.
  • Proficiency in cloud-native development (AWS or GCP), including IaC (Terraform/CDK), CI/CD, and container orchestration (EKS/GKE) is expected.
  • A strong track record of building and owning production systems end-to-end, with clear documentation and operational rigor is important.
  • You should be passionate about perpetual futures and market microstructure; while you don’t need to be a trader, curiosity is key.
