The Senior Data Engineer will be the first data engineer at Blockworks, responsible for leading the creation and execution of data models and strategies that support the product.
Responsibilities include owning data sourcing pipelines, designing and implementing ETL solutions, providing technical leadership, driving operational efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The role requires a results-oriented attitude and a passion for delivering flawless releases and developing digital product pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with experimentation and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must have significant knowledge of the crypto industry and at least 4 years of hands-on experience with data modeling, schema design, data operations, and data warehousing.
Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, and/or Typescript is required, along with strong expertise in SQL (ideally Parquet, Postgres, and Clickhouse).
Experience in creating data warehouses at scale (100M+ rows per day) is essential.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud solutions such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP is necessary.
Experience in crypto, web3, startup, or incubator environments is preferred, along with a background in designing, building, and managing microservices.
