The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for leading the creation and execution of data models and strategies that support Blockworks' products.
Responsibilities include owning data sourcing pipelines, designing and implementing ETL solutions, providing technical leadership, driving operational efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The role requires a results-oriented attitude and a passion for developing digital product pipelines (CI/CD).
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data architecture, design, and API development, and be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must have significant knowledge of the crypto industry and at least 4 years of hands-on experience with data modeling, schema design, data operations, and data warehousing.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Rust, and/or Typescript is required, along with strong expertise in SQL (ideally Parquet, Postgres, and Clickhouse).
Experience in creating data warehouses at scale (100M+ rows per day) and familiarity with DevOps tools and cloud solutions like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP is essential.
Experience in crypto, web3, startup, or incubator environments is preferred, as well as a background in designing, building, and managing microservices.
Candidates should have experience in security, privacy, and scalability.
